Who'll keep you safe until dawn
Who'll comfort you whenever you cried

You rely on him because he is strong
And you know that he's one to protect you
He'll protect you whenever things go wrong
And he'd do anything a father has to do

A dad is someone who's here to stay
Someone who'll never run when things go bad
Someone who'll always make a way
Someone you declare as the best dad

A dad is someone who's bold and tough
Someone who makes sure you get a hot plate before bed
Someone who always makes you laugh
Someone who makes sure you're never sad.

Even when he has had enough
He bottles his feelings in and makes you his number one
That's why I consider them tough

No dad could do what mine has done
