So God appeared to King Solomon in a dream, and told him to ask for anything and He will do it for him, King Solomon was still a young man back then, without hesitating he asked for wisdom, and God had granted him wisdom. There will never be a man as wise as king Solomon.
So what if God had appeared to you in a dream? What would you ask for? I tell you, many will ask for wealth, as so to be rich, many will ask for materialistic things, some will ask for marriage. These things don't matter much.
Some will ask for God's healing, for food, for happiness, and some for success.
So take some time and ask yourself, what if God had appeared to you in a dream, what will you ask for?
Because King Solomon didn't ask for wealth or for any meaningless things, God promised to provide him with what he had asked for, wisdom. And He told him that because he hadn't asked for wealth or success, He will grant him what he didn't ask for.

11 So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies— 12 I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! 13 And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame!
